VK Ads Pixel Detector

1. Overview

VK Ads Pixel Detector ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension developed by Pavel Barakaev. Its sole purpose is to detect the presence of VK Ads (Top.Mail.Ru) tracking pixels on web pages you visit.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

The Extension does not collect, store on any server, or transmit:

• Your browsing history or visited URLs
• Personal identification information of any kind
• Pixel IDs or scan results
• Any analytics, telemetry, or usage statistics
• Cookies or authentication data

3. Local Data Storage

The Extension stores a limited scan history (up to 10 entries) using chrome.storage.local — a storage mechanism that is:

• Stored exclusively on your device, inside your Chrome profile
• Never transmitted to any external server
• Accessible only by this Extension
• Clearable at any time via the "Clear History" button inside the Extension popup

The stored data consists only of: page URL, scan timestamp, whether a pixel was detected, and pixel IDs found on the page. No other information is stored.

4. Permissions Explained

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

• activeTab — to scan only the currently active tab when you open the Extension popup or click "Check Page". No background scanning of other tabs occurs.
• storage — to save scan history locally on your device as described above.
• Content Scripts on all URLs — to detect pixel code on any web page you visit. Scripts run locally and send no data externally.

5. Third-Party Services

The Extension does not integrate with, communicate with, or send data to any third-party services, APIs, or analytics platforms. No network requests are made by the Extension itself.

6. Children's Privacy

The Extension is a developer/marketer tool and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy is updated, the new version will be published at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
